C.O.P. President’s Message

From the 2018 Annual Report: 2018 has come to an end, and the Isle of Wight Christian Outreach Program (C.O.P.) has completed another successful year. However, none of the outreach opportunities provided by C.O.P. would be possible without the generous outpouring of volunteer hours and donation of items needed provided by our community! When Farm Fresh closed, the community was there; when food items were needed for Thanksgiving and Christmas, the community was there; the Angel Tree gifts for seniors were donated by the community; and many individuals, churches, and community organizations donated food, diapers, books, furniture, dishes and linens showing that COP is indeed “neighbors helping neighbors.” As you read this brochure, you will see the variety of programs in which C.O.P. is currently providing assistance to those needing our help in Isle of Wight County. Christian Outreach continues to be an all – volunteer organization. Approximately 200 volunteers assist at C.O.P. each year. Opportunities abound for those interested in helping. Come by and see us any time (M – W – F 9:00 am – 3:00 pm). To all who give of their time, talent and love in support of those needing assistance from COP, words cannot express my gratitude.
